“Four Essential Questions Regarding Providing Health Care for All”-

Dr. Andy Winnick

Speaker:  Dr. Andy Winnick, Professor Emeritus of Economics and Statistics, Cal State L.A. –

University Club member Andy Winnick will inform us about a broiling issue on the current economic and political scene. He will examine four major questions that must be addressed in considering how to provide health care and health insurance for everyone. He will discuss issues raised in the presidential debates, including single-payer and Medicare-for-all health care proposals. Andy earned a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was a dean at Schiller International University from 1989-1996 in Heidelberg, Germany. Andy was Dean of Faculty at Cal State University, Los Angeles for 10 years, and then taught economics and statistics there for another 10 years. He is a world traveler and has led student tours throughout Europe.
